The hidden skill (GAME_DESIGN §14): one Glicko-2 rating per account across the versus missions (Glickman, "Example of the Glicko-2 system", 2013), seen by nobody, used only to balance a lobby's teams and to prefer, in Quick play, the lobbies nearest one's own.
A rating is kept on Glicko-2's own scale (Skill: mu, phi, sigma; a new one is 1500 ± 350 at a volatility of 0.06) and shown, where anything shows it, on Glicko's (rating, 1500 at the start). A run of teams is rated with each team as one composite player, the mean of its members' ratings: every seat plays one game against every other team's composite, won, lost or drawn as its team did. A free-for-all is rated as pairwise games between its players by place: the better placed wins, the same place draws, a player with no place counts as behind every placed one. Pure functions: respect.ts reads and keeps the ratings.
