The police's ladder (GAME_DESIGN §12): what each star brings, one row per star from none to ten, as data. A row says how many cruisers the police keep after a wanted player and how many officers ride in each, whether their cars have the pursuit tune, whether nail strips are thrown ahead (nail-strips.ts), how many roadblocks are set on the road ahead and how many cars a rolling block sends (police-roadblocks.ts), whether the lights ahead turn red (police-signals.ts), how many drones watch from above (police-drones.ts), whether the city's cameras radio sightings (police-cameras.ts) and whether the units come from ahead on the road the player is predicted to take (PreCrime™, police-precrime.ts); from four stars the police bikes riding with the cruisers, and from five the citizens filming a wanted player with the city's app (police-citizens.ts); from seven the heavy response (police-heavy.ts): the APC, the water cannon, the helicopter, the rooftop snipers, the police boats on the water, the cruisers fitted with the Grappler and the GPS dart; from six stars, how many SWAT vans come with their teams (police-swat.ts), whether a K9 unit comes with them (police-k9.ts) and whether the cruisers' crews carry the foam gun, kept above; from eight, beside them, the tech division (police-tech-division.ts): the remote kill switch on the player's car, a swarm of taser drones, ComplianceBots™ and a robot dog. Each star has its name, the satire's, which the HUD shows next to the stars. The phase that builds the lockdown adds its own columns to these rows.
