apps/client/src/renderer/zones-view

The zones as the game draws them (@foi/sim's zones.ts, as the snapshots list them): a cloud of tear gas is a sickly yellow-green haze of puffs; a cloud of smoke, thick grey puffs that hide what stands in them (the eyes of the AI see as little through it); sticky foam, white blobs heaped on the ground; a ground fire, flames (flames.ts). A zone feeds its pool for as long as the snapshots list it, at a rate by its area now (its look's rate), every puff somewhere within its reach, and the puffs live a while after, so a cloud thins away as it ends. And the pulses the snapshots' events carry: an EMP's blue ring racing out over the ground to its reach, a flashbang's white burst.

Each pool is one mesh of thin instances (particles.ts' pools), a colour each; the rings and the bursts are a few pooled meshes, as an explosion's are (explosion.ts).
