Gunfire's tracers as data, drawn as modern shooters draw a bullet: a short, bright, thin streak that flies from the muzzle to where the shot stopped at a few hundred metres a second (seen for a few frames, never less than one), its head bright and its tail fading to nothing, and is gone into the impact. Each weapon has its look (TRACER_STYLES): the rifle's long and white-hot, the pistol's short and yellow, the shotgun's pellets short, thin and many, the tranquilizer's dart slow and pale. A streak is a quad turned about its own line to face the camera, wide at the head and narrow at the tail, four corners in a ring of slots (12 floats of position, 16 of colour with the opacity in the fourth) that one mesh draws additively (effects.ts); past the cap the oldest gives way, and a free slot is all zeros (nothing drawn). Visual only: what a shot hit is the server's.
