apps/client/src/renderer/window-lights

The windows lit at night, as drawn (GAME_DESIGN §5.7): lit-windows.ts says where a level's windows are and which are lit by the hour; this draws each lit one as a pane of light a hair in front of its glass, in its own tone (a television's flickering slowly), and, for a window of a building's ground floor (a shop's front above all) or of the floor above it (fainter), a soft patch of its light on the pavement at the foot of its wall, lying on the ground as it climbs. Two meshes for the whole level, each drawn as thin instances whose colours are added to the picture; their buffers are written when the lit windows change (a game minute passes, a piece is knocked loose), their colours when a television flickers or a roof fades. Nothing is drawn, nor worked out, by day.

A window of a light piece (a phone booth's pane) goes dark when the piece is knocked loose; one of a storey that fades over the player (overhead.ts) fades with it.
