The z-fighting in a soup: pairs of triangles in one plane (unit normals equal within tolerance, one's middle within tolerance of the other's plane), facing the same way, of different colours, sharing more than minArea square metres (measured by clipping the two in 2D with the normal's dominant axis dropped). Ignored, because none of these flickers: faces of one colour, faces turned apart, faces that only touch along an edge or overlap by minArea or less, and planes further apart than tolerance (the client's road lift, the kits' 2 cm details). acrossOwners looks only at pairs from different pieces; by default only within a piece.
