How far under the window's top the estimate may sit without moving (ticks): the band's width. When the earliest arrival of a window ages out the top drops by the jitter, under a tick on a real link (inter-arrivals p50 48 ms, p95 70 ms, many arrivals near the earliest) and exactly a tick in a synthetic trace, so an estimate a tick under the top is not above the new top and nothing moves.
