Signs in on Steam's own page (OpenID) in a window of the app's, at the platform whose API is base (http or https): the one-time code it came back with, an error, or that the player closed the window. One window at a time: asked again, the open one comes forward.

ticket() ​

A fresh ticket for the platform's API (GetAuthTicketForWebApi("five-on-it-api"), in hex) for POST /auth/steam; none when Steam is not running, or the app has no Steam app id (FOI_STEAM_APP_ID).
