The stretches of a road over the water (Riverbend's span_over, over every river's outline at once): the road is given a point a little way out over the water from each bank it crosses, far enough for its pavements to be over the water there however obliquely it crosses, and a span runs from one such point to the next. Sets road.bridges (and its points); answers each crossing's arc length and how squarely it crosses the bank (the sine of the angle, 1 square on).
